In life, when presented with a difficult situation, you can either run away or fight back. Fear of the unknown or of failing is absolutely normal. However, if you let the fear take over, it will leave you helpless and unable to move forward.
You have the strength within yourself to fight back – you just need the right weaponry. When caring for an aging relative, knowledge is your arsenal. Within it, you will discover ways to cope and find the support you need.
It’s never too early to start talking to an aging parent about the future. Doing so will help you understand their wishes and fears. Together, you can plan for what’s ahead.
