Show Notes:

I’m super excited for today’s show! It’s the first episode where I’m having a special guest join us to share their expertise with you.

You’ve likely heard about the benefits of music in dementia care, but for many of you, including myself, we don’t necessarily know how to incorporate music and maximize its benefits on a daily basis.

That’s why I’ve asked Mary Sue Wilkinson of Singing Heart to Heart, to join us.

If you’ve been following Together in This for a while, then it’s likely you’ve already seen some of Mary Sue’s work. She previously joined me for a 1 hour webinar, and she is a contributing writer for Together in This.

Mary Sue is the founder of Singing Heart to Heart and the Young at Heart Music Program.

She specializes in using music in dementia care, and each year she leads close to 400 music and singing experiences for seniors.

Mary Sue is a career educator, a professional musician and the author of “Songs You Know By Heart: A Simple Guide for Using Music in Dementia Care.”

Mary Sue also works as a trainer and as a keynote speaker, sharing her expertise about the power of music to connect, awaken memories, and bring joy.

Mentioned in this Show:
  • 6 Easy Ways to Take Music from Entertainment to Engagement in Dementia Care – Mary Sue’s instantly popular article she wrote just for the Together in This audience
  • How To Ensure Success with Music in Dementia Care – Webinar with Mary Sue

I wish you would provide transcripts as well. I can read faster than I can listen! Thanks for considering.

I appreciate your feedback. For episodes where it’s just me, I do have a transcript. I just haven’t been publishing them. Unfortunately, however, when it’s a conversation with another person as in this case, I don’t have a transcript because I can’t afford to have one created.
