Using a Holistic Approach to Dementia Care

Personalizing your care to meet the changing needs of your loved one with methods that benefit both of you is vital to your caregiving success.

I recently had the privilege of having Ellen Belk join us on the Together in This Empowerment series.

KeepInMind Logo tag medium 240 65Ellen has over 13 years of dementia care advocacy and is a recognized industry professional providing holistic dementia care solutions. She is President of Keep In Mind Inc.® and the creator of Memory Magz®, Memory Mealz™, and Fitness with Friends. Ellen leverages her unique background in broadcast media with her notable Dementia Care success to bring holistic Dementia Care solutions to you.

During this interactive event, Ellen taught tips & strategies to help you start implementing a holistic approach to care that will provide more balance and reduce your strain.

When you’re caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or another dementia, it’s important to maintain a caregiving routine that is beneficial for both you and care receiver.

We discussed:

  • How to create a nurturing care environment that fosters success
  • How to make mealtime successful through simple tweaks to the environment and food presentation
  • Simple tips and strategies to help you maintain a caregiving routine that is beneficial for all
  • How to start applying these techniques in your own caregiving

The audio portion of this class is less than stellar. But if you have good speakers, and patience, you will hear some great content.
Other classes are not like this.

Rena, thank you for the feedback. We’ve had a couple of technical learning experiences, but we are learning and hope to continue to provide great value to caregivers.

Hi I am with the Tristan holistic nurses of North Jersey. At our meetings we bring in anyone who can add to our knowledge base. We want to learn more about Holistic approaches to care of Dimentia patients. Is this something you can arrange?
